Proposed/released sequels[]

Diddy Kong Pilot (for the Game Boy Advance) and Donkey Kong Racing (for the GameCube) were planned by Rareware, but due to Rareware's move to Microsoft in 2002, both games were canceled. Luckily, a Nintendo DS remake of Diddy Kong Racing was unveiled on May 10, 2006. It was released to the public on February 5, 2007, priced at $34.99. In this DS remake, Banjo and Conker are replaced by female characters Dixie Kong and Tiny Kong, and there are more challenges compared to in the original Nintendo 64 version.
