The Last Roundup is the 14th Season 2 episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. This was also Applejack's only episode of this season.
When this episode first aired, all other episodes to date have reran on The Hub at least once since December 3, 2011, while all those except Luna Eclipsed and Hearth's Warming Eve have reran since December 28.
Due to the episode's portrayal of Derpy, it was altered on reruns starting on April 14, 2012. When this altered version first aired, all episodes, again except Luna Eclipsed and Hearth's Warming Eve, have reran at least once since March 3, 2012.
Synopsis[]
The friends travel all over Equestria to track down Applejack, who has mysteriously disappeared after attending a rodeo competition in Canterlot.
Production[]
On October 1, 2010, Lauren Faust wrote premises for this episode, Family Appreciation Day and Baby Cakes. At that time, The Last Roundup was listed as #211 in the episode list. It was pushed back to #213 on October 5, then to #214 on October 22.
Amy Keating Rogers wrote the full outline from October 5 through November 17, 2010 and again on November 29, 2010. In the outline, the outhouse was referred to as a "Pony Potty Stall".
The first full script was written from December 6, 2010 through January 18, 2011, and revisions were made to the script from February 4–28. Voice recording began on March 2.
The completed animatic for this episode was submitted for review on June 1, 2011.
A rough cut of the animated episode was submitted for review on September 29, 2011.
Production was officially complete on November 21, 2011, the same day as Hearth's Warming Eve.

"Derpy" scene[]
Derpy's scene in this episode was altered as of April 2012. Despite this, the closed captions still use the dialogue from the original version.
