Synopises

In The Cat in the Hat, two young children face the sad prospect of rainy day boredom. Then in walks the madcap mischief maker who won't leave till he finds his lost moss-covered, three handled gradunza. The search virtually destroys the house, only to be magically cleaned up by the Cat in the Hat in just the nick of time. The afternoon becomes fun indeed!

Originally, Playhouse Video distributed all seven Dr. Seuss short films from 1971 to 1982 (The Cat in the Hat, Dr. Seuss on the Loose, The Hoober-Bloob Highway, The Lorax, The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat, Pontoffel Pock, and Grinch Night).

After Playhouse Video became defunct, the first four Dr. Seuss films were sold to Fox Video, and the last three starring the Grinch and Pontoffel Pock to Random House Home Video.
